The final four contenders for this year’s Valerie Baker Memorial Award have been announced.

They are Karyll Dean of PSC Connect, John Farrell of Steadfast Taswide, Karen Hardy of ACME Insurance Brokers and Maria Parry of Austcover.

The winner will receive an educational trip to London, including meeting senior managers at Lloyd’s and having tailored learning activities with key underwriters and brokers.

Selection criteria for the award – which recognises excellence in the general insurance intermediary sector – include ethics and values, business success, teamwork and innovation.

The award is sponsored by Gold Seal, the Steadfast Group and Austbrokers & IBNA Member Services, and presented in conjunction with Lloyd’s Australia.

The winner will be announced on May 11.
