QBE celebrates its Indigenous links
QBE is hosting Indigenous speakers and artists, running discussion panels about its involvement in indigenous support programs and rolling out a refreshed reconciliation action plan as part of NAIDOC Week.
NAIDOC – the acronym is taken from the title of the National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee – is a week-long celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
It began yesterday and will continue through to Sunday.
Many of the sessions will focus on female Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, speakers and artists under the theme “Because of her, we can!”
QBE’s reconciliation action plan program provides a framework for organisations to support the national reconciliation movement.
It encapsulates QBE’s commitment to developing and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
