Popular underwriter dies aged 42
Well-known Sydney accident and health underwriter Natalie Georgoulas (nee Raffaut) has died.
A statement released to insuranceNEWS.com.au says the insurance community is mourning the 42-year-old mother of two, who “passed away peacefully” last week from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
Ms Georgoulas had a 20-year career in the insurance industry, previously working for GIO and Gerling, but it was at the original Chubb Insurance Company that she became “one of the most well-known accident and health underwriters in the market”.
She spent 10 years at Chubb before leaving the industry to concentrate on raising her young family.
Ms Georgoulas is survived by her husband Harry, a former long-time placement broker at JLT Sydney and currently GM Placement and Product Development at Insurance Advisernet, along with their two daughters Tayla and Elyssa.
Funeral details have yet to be released.
