Insurance & Care NSW CEO Vivek Bhatia is in contention for two CEO Magazine awards.

He is among four nominees for financial services executive of the year, along with AIA Australia and New Zealand CEO Damien Mu, BankVic CEO Stephen Capello and Commonwealth Bank GM Technology Risk Felicity Cooper.

Mr Bhatia is also a finalist in the managing director category, up against six others including Xero Australia MD Trent Innes and Menulog Australia and New Zealand MD Alistair Venn.

“[Mr Bhatia] is a great example of a leader who truly cares for his employees and is passionate about creating a great place for people to work,” the magazine’s CEO and founder Chris Dutton told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“Having a background in the commercial world, he joined government to give back to the community and fully deserves his place as a finalist for the Executive of the Year Awards.”

Winners in various categories, including CEO of the year, will be announced in Melbourne on November 15.
