Fire protection industry hosts awards
The Fire Protection Industry Awards will be held in Sydney on November 9 to recognise significant contributions from individuals and businesses.
The panel of judges from fire protection and related industries this year includes Vero Risk Specialist Wayne Welson and Alan Wilson Insurance Brokers GM Kimberley Brew.
The Fire Protection Association Australia, presenting the awards for a third year, says there are clear benefits from a strong relationship with the insurance industry as both sectors aim to safeguard businesses and the wider community against financial loss due to fire.
The eight categories are: Young Achiever of the Year; Barry Lee Technical Excellence Award; Harry Marryatt Fire Protection Company of the Year (1-49 employees and 50-plus employees); Fire Protection Project of the Year (cost of less than $1 million and cost greater than $1 million); Roy Coffey Award for Excellence in Bushfire Protection; and Innovative Product and Technology Award.
The event will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel.
