Chubb has appointed Andrew Taylor as Cyber Underwriting Manager and John DePeters as Cyber Underwriter for the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr Taylor will be based in Sydney and will be responsible for the expansion of Chubb’s cyber business, from guidelines to ratings and portfolio management.

He joined Chubb in 2009 in the information and technology team, and started underwriting cyber risks in 2010 as one of the region’s first specialists.

He has 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including in the London and Asian professional liability markets.

Mr DePeters will be based in Singapore. He has five years’ cyber underwriting experience.

He was previously an executive underwriter in the Chubb North America financial lines division, responsible for cyber and technology errors and omissions underwriting in the northwest, including Silicon Valley.

The pair will report to Head of Financial Lines Asia-Pacific Stanley Wong.
