The Australian Insurance Law Association has appointed Federal Court Chief Justice James Allsop as its inaugural patron.

Chief Justice Allsop is the architect of the court’s specialist insurance list.

“The national board considered [him] ideal for this role, given his standing, knowledge and enthusiasm for ensuring further education on insurance and legal issues,” association National President Angus Kench said.
