AIG worker wins APIG scholarship
AIG Complex Claims Examiner Mitchell Spurr has won the Wotton + Kearney and Australian Professional Indemnity Group (APIG) Scholarship.
He beat more than 20 contenders with a paper on directors’ increasing exposure to claims relating to climate change.
The scholarship, in its third year, is open to APIG members aged under 36 who are involved in financial lines.
Mr Spurr will fly to the UK next July to attend the Professional Indemnity Forum Conference at Cambridge University and visit the Lloyd’s market in London.
The scholarship result was announced at the annual APIG dinner in Sydney last week.
