Master mariner Jarek Klimczak has been appointed XL Catlin’s Marine Risk Engineer, Insurance, for Asia-Pacific.

He will be based in Singapore and consult on cargo, hull and machinery risks.

Before joining XL Catlin he spent more than four years as senior risk consultant for Allianz in Singapore. He has worked three decades in the shipping industry, including as port captain and cargo superintendent for shipping companies in Singapore and Germany.
