XL Catlin has named former Zurich underwriter Nicole Yates as Head of Accident & Health (A&H) for its Australian business.

It says Ms Yates will complement its expansion goals.

“She brings with her extensive experience in A&H underwriting and has the talent and expertise to ensure we are building solutions that… not only deliver, but exceed expectations,” Global Chief Underwriting Officer Retail A&H Insurance Patrick Corbett said.

Ms Yates is based in Sydney and joined the company this month.

She was previously with Zurich Financial Services, including four years as national underwriter, and has also worked for Chartis and Ace Insurance.
