Date set for rescheduled Kurt Nilsen service
The celebration of life for Lion Underwriting founder and former Underwriting Agencies Council chair Kurt Nilsen will take place on Friday March 28 after it was postponed due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
The event for Mr Nilsen, who died last month aged 52, will be at the Southport Yacht Club on the Gold Coast from 11am to 3pm.
“Kurt was a larger-than-life individual with an infectious positive attitude, and his legacy will be cherished by all who knew him,” Lion Underwriting says in a LinkedIn Post.
To assist with attendance numbers, Lion has asked that people RSVP to admin@lionunderwriting.com.au.
Mr Nilsen was diagnosed with cancer early last year and his family has requested donations to the Pancare Foundation in lieu of sending flowers.
The foundation, which has provided support to Mr Nilsen and his family, helps people affected by upper-gastrointestinal cancers.
A donation page in memory of Mr Nilsen can be accessed here.
