Wallace McLean announces new director, rebrand
New Zealand broker Wallace McLean has appointed Brian Mahony as director and plans to rename the company Wallace McLean Mahony.
The appointment expands the business’ expertise in a variety of sectors including property/body corporates, professional liability, horticultural, construction, port risk and engineering.
MD Nigel Wallace says Mr Mahony is one of New Zealand’s leading brokers and a “major addition” to the team.
Mr Mahony established a unique market for US product liability insurance for New Zealand-made pharmaceuticals and established one of the country’s most successful self-insurance funds, covering billions of dollars in property assets.
He acted for the Luna Rossa sailing team during its Americas Cup campaigns in New Zealand and the US, and most recently introduced a high-value home and personal assets facility to New Zealand.
Wallace McLean is part of AUB’s NZbrokers Group.
