Steadfast members to ponder options
Members of the Steadfast Group will gain a greater understanding of the organisation’s possible future shape when they meet for their annual convention beginning on Saturday.
Executive Chairman Robert Kelly says the traditional pre-convention members’ meeting on Saturday morning will discuss “what we’d look like” as it moves forward to a possible future public company listing.
“The members will consider a number of propositions and the board will be asking for some firm directions,” Mr Kelly told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
He says members have “a wide range of views” on the possibility of a public listing. “This is an opportunity to share what we’ve been told and what we might look like under different arrangements.”
He says Steadfast is determined to ensure that all members have a full understanding of the options before any binding decisions are made.
“Whatever we do will only be at the concurrence of the members.”
The four-day convention is being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 2000 people have signed up to attend, with 82 exhibitors.
