Sedgwick recognised for workplace diversity, inclusion commitment
Loss adjuster Sedgwick says its commitment to workplace diversity and inclusion has been a positive for the business and its employees.
This month the business is one of a number of insurance-related companies that made it to a 2023/24 list of inclusive employers. Others on the list compiled by Diversity Council Australia are CHU Underwriting Agencies, actuarial firm Finity Consulting and MetLife.
“Sedgwick Australia is honoured to be listed as an Inclusive Employer for 2023-2024,” Sedgwick Australia CEO Diego Ascani said.
“The focus is clear, our commitment is to continue to ensure our colleagues represent the diversity that exists in the world and have created a welcoming and inclusive work environment.”
Diversity Council Australia compiles the annual list based on a survey of participating employers. To make the list, employers must prove their commitment to diversity and inclusion by having employees complete an in-depth survey to map the state of inclusion in their workplace – and produce results that exceed national benchmarks on a series of key measures.
Sedgwick Director of Colleague Resources Tracey Chapman-Marks says creating a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion has always been a core focus at the business.
“We understand that having a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture drives diversity of thought and together we can achieve great things for our colleagues, clients and customers,” she said.
