QBE Insurance’s consumer MD Julie Starley has started a new role this month, becoming Australia Pacific chief claims officer.

Ms Starley had been overseeing the function on an interim basis since the insurer announced in December that Jon Fox was leaving.

QBE says a search is under way to fill Ms Starley’s previous position.

She has been with QBE for more than five years, joining in July 2019 as GM of partners, according to her LinkedIn.
