QBE Insurance has appointed Ian Fantozzi as group executive of technology and operations.

He was most recently Beazley’s CEO of digital, based in London, according to his LinkedIn, and takes over from Matt Mansour, who is finishing up with QBE in June.

QBE group CEO Andrew Horton says Mr Fantozzi “brings over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry and a strong background in digital transformation.

“His expertise in developing and delivering intuitive digital insurance solutions will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our digital capabilities.”

The insurer says the appointment is subject to regulatory approvals.
