Haven Underwriting has recruited Mitchell Pontey as underwriting manager for the southern region.  

Mr Pontey joins after 11 years at Guild Insurance intermediated division Acerta, including five years as Victorian manager. He has also spent time at Lumley Insurance and Suncorp’s AAMI.  

Haven MD Barnaby Williams says Mr Pontey’s “depth of underwriting experience and first-class customer service will deliver exactly what our broker partners need: simple solutions for complex risks”.

He will be based in Melbourne and is expected to start the role on Wednesday.
