QBE has appointed Ross Lawrenson as Southern Regional Manager Marine Specialty, replacing Tim Air following his promotion to National Manager Marine Specialty Risks.

Mr Lawrenson was previously senior underwriter marine with CGU insurance, head of marine Australia and New Zealand at Zurich, and national manager at Cargo Insurance.

He has more than 27 years’ experience across functions including strategic pricing, results analysis and portfolio management, and also spent almost two decades in various roles at Associated Marine.
