QBE Foundation wins praise for charity work
The QBE Foundation has won an award at a ceremony showcasing groups and people who make a difference through their contribution to health and medical research.
The foundation was presented with the leadership in corporate giving award at the Research Australia Health and Medical Research Awards.
It was nominated by its charity partner, The Kids’ Cancer Project, for its support since 2013.
QBE Foundation Chairman Sally Kincaid says she is proud to support the charity and its “incredible” work.
“In that five-year period, the foundation has not only contributed hundreds of hours of volunteer time, but more than $500,000 to fund research that will find better treatments for kids with cancer,” she said.
The awards, in their 15th year, were announced at a gala event in Melbourne.
