Guy Carpenter’s Vice Chairman for the Pacific Region, Paul Allison, will retire at the end of this month after a 43-year career in the sector and 19 years with the reinsurance broking firm.

Mr Allison was awarded the Order of Australia Medal last year in recognition of his services to the insurance industry and his work with local communities.

Guy Carpenter says he “played a key role” in facilitating the growth and development of the reinsurance industry in Australia, and has also been “a mentor and leader to many practitioners in the market”.

He has served on the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance board, and was an active member in numerous industry groups.

CEO Asia-Pacific Region Tony Gallagher says Mr Allison “made a significant contribution to our success in the Pacific region”.
