NT award winners crowned at annual gala
Marsh principal Tom Harvie was crowned NT broker of the year at a Back to the Future-themed gala dinner.
Mr Harvie’s dedication “inspires those around him”, the awards organisers say. “His positive attitude and approach to his clients doesn’t go unnoticed.”
The business development/underwriting professional of the year award went to Allianz senior account manager Johanna Anderson, the claims professional prize was handed to Allianz legal and technical manager Meghan Fitzpatrick, and the customer service professional honour went to TIO new claims team manager Briony Cameron.
Young insurance professional of the year was Rehab Management NT team leader Kay Savage, and the service provider prize went to Procare rehabilitation consultant Katie Talbot.
The Stewart Cox Memorial Award was given to John Pfitzner for his “significant impact” in the broking industry” after moving to Katherine as an AMP agent in 1971.
Mr Pfitzner flew his own plane and served communities from the Tiwi Islands to Groote Eylandt, Ali Curung and Tennant Creek, Timber Creek and “places in between”. His business was sold to Elders in 2000.
The awards dinner was held at the Darwin Convention Centre on October 11.
