Dunk Insurance MD John Dunk has won the National Insurance Brokers Association’s (NIBA) broker of the year award for NSW and the ACT.

The runner-up was Account Manager Olivia Googh from Willis Towers Watson.

Noel Kelly, of Austbrokers AEI Transport, has won the region’s young professional broker of the year award, with David McDonald from Arthur J Gallagher the runner-up.

Mr Dunk will now compete for the national Stephen Ball Memorial Award, to be announced at the NIBA Convention in Melbourne in September.

The overall winner will claim a prize worth about $20,000, donated by QBE.

Mr Kelly will contest the national Vero-sponsored Warren Tickle Memorial Award. The winner will receive a tailored professional development experience worth about $10,000.
