Moray & Agnew lawyers gain promotions 

Moray & Agnew has announced 26 promotions effective today including five new partners and 12 lawyers elevated to special counsel. 

The new partners are Jasmine Forsyth in Brisbane, Sheridan Landwehr in Melbourne, Lucy Munro in Newcastle and Lauren Smith and Jane Thomson in Canberra. 

Lawyers promoted to special counsel include insurance specialists Jamie Bruce, Chelsea Farry, Anna Miolin, Nicola Stoddart, Christian Viti, Patrick Warnes, Toby Whyte and Laura Wilkie. Also promoted were Kellie Ross and Tina Kealy in property, Angela Georgalis in construction and projects and Lucinda Cook in workplace. 

Promoted to senior associate are Argelique Botakis, Alex Carolan, Nick Elliott, David Fallon, Jonathan Kwong, Varuni Santhakumar and Joshua Watkins in insurance as well as Genevieve Rush in government. 

In addition, Hamish Thomson from the Newcastle team will be promoted to associate. 

National managing partner Geoff Connellan says promotions are merit based, regardless of gender. 

“This round of promotions does mean that 47% of our partners are female, more reflective of the society in which we live and work,” he said.
