Crash repairs supplier Auto Parts Group has appointed former IAG and Suncorp executive Mark Milliner to its advisory board.

Mr Milliner headed the IAG Australia Division until 2020 after joining the company as COO. Previously he held several senior roles at Suncorp, including leading the personal lines business and before then overseeing the group’s commercial insurance.

Auto Parts Group says he has been the driving force behind the growth of the Capital Smart and Repairhub crash repair networks and a key supporter of competition in the parts industry.

CEO James Knox says in a LinkedIn post that it’s “great to have Mark Milliner on board”.

“There remains significant opportunities for increased penetration of independent genuine and certified aftermarket collision parts in Australia,” he says.

“Getting this right is critical to a profitable and sustainable repair industry and ultimately the cost of car insurance.”
