Insurance Advisernet looks to expand, seeks GM
Insurance Advisernet is seeking a GM operations and development to run an “ambitious strategic plan” in its fast-growing Australian and New Zealand operations.
The successful candidate for the new position does “not necessarily” need Lloyd’s experience, but will require Australian insurance experience, MD Adrian Kitchin told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “International experience would be of great benefit.”
The successful candidate will be based on the Gold Coast, managing a network of 140 authorised representatives (ARs) and 400 brokers and staff.
Mr Kitchin says they will deliver on the network’s growth strategy, help ARs with their growth and develop new products in specialty areas such as professional indemnity, property and liability.
Six months ago Insurance Advisernet had 350 brokers and staff.
Most growth has come from staff joining the corporate AR business, not head office, Mr Kitchin says.
“We have reached… a size where we want to have a dedicated resource to essentially spearhead our growth strategies and assist us in the execution of our strategic plan, which is very ambitious.
“We have decided to invest in a role to help us grow in a very benign environment. We still see fantastic growth opportunities in the market.”
