Nearly 300 delegates will attend the Insight Insurance Brokers annual conference at the Hyatt Coolum on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast beginning on Thursday.

Speakers at the three-day conference include Insurance Council of Australia CEO Rob Whelan, Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters President Ian Lavin and Lloyd’s Representative in Australia Adrian Humphreys.

Insight Executive Officer Bill Friend says the conference, titled “Sun, Surf and Success”, has also attracted a record 42 exhibitors.

“It’s an opportunity for our growing membership base to network with sponsors and learn more about their industry and its issues, as well as new approaches to running their businesses,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The winners of the Norm Dyer Award of Excellence and the new Les McInerney Award of Excellence will be announced at the conference dinner on Saturday night.

The inaugural Peter Michell Friends of Insight award will be presented by Mr Michell’s widow, Bev.
