icare opens graduate program
Insurance & Care NSW (icare) is calling for applicants for an inaugural graduate program due to start next February.
The group – formed last year to deliver the state’s insurance and care schemes, including workers’ compensation and the dust diseases scheme – is looking for future leaders.
“We’re seeking graduates from all areas of study who have self-awareness, empathy and a genuine curiosity to learn,” icare Chief People Officer Greg Barnier said.
“Our program encourages graduates to think strategically, analytically and creatively about our customers, so we want candidates with achievements outside of university life, such as work experience, sport, community service or leadership roles.”
Mr Barnier says icare has the ambition and agility of a start-up, while being one of the largest general insurers in Australia.
Graduates who have completed bachelor-level degrees in the past year are invited to apply by September 16.
The two-year program combines formal learning with hands-on experience, with participants offered permanent roles at completion.
Participants will complete four six-month rotations across key business lines, including workers’ insurance, lifetime care, customer experience, strategy and transformation, the office of the CEO and people engagement.
