The Financial Ombudsman Service has appointed former Citibank chief risk officer Johanna Turner as Industry Director.

She takes over from Chris McRae, who resigned in June over a potential conflict of interest due to his role as an independent adviser to life insurance members.

Ms Turner has had an extensive career in financial services, holding senior roles with Macquarie Group and the Australian Securities Exchange.

She is an independent compliance committee member for the Blackrock investment group and the Fundhost investment fund.
