Dive In celebrates ‘incredible milestone’
The award-winning insurance industry diversity and inclusion festival Dive In took place in more than 40 countries last week in what Lloyd’s CEO John Neal described as “an incredible milestone” – its 10th anniversary.
The festival was first conceived by Lloyd’s, and Mr Neal reminisced as the 2024 festival got under way with the theme “A Sustainable Future: The Next 10 Years”.
“Without sounding like I'm presenting the Eurovision Song Contest, let me say from London that we're very happy to be sharing the Dive In global stage,” Mr Neal said.
“We've seen incredible growth, this year's bigger than ever before.”
The world was “craving leadership” Mr Neal said, as artificial intelligence, climate change and global elections create uncertainty and tension.
At the same session, Dive In chair Jason Groves said the widest variety of backgrounds and breadth of understanding was the best way for the insurance industry to be innovative to address the issues impacting the global economy.
“Attracting that talent that can really make that change and as an industry, it's pretty clear that there's a lot of interest in doing that,” he said.
