Crowds gather once more for CQIB convention
The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers (CQIB) annual convention has attracted 380 industry professionals and 41 exhibitors after COVID-19 restrictions led to the rescheduling of the in-person event.
The two-day convention was held at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa on Friday and Saturday, and included presentations covering regulation changes, property market impacts, risk surveys, insurtech and other topics.
“CQIB is thankful to all our members, attendees, business partners and JW Marriott for working with us in the difficult COVID event space to hold the first large industry conference since the Queensland lockdown,” President Andrew Hinz said today.
“We hope that attendees take the mantra to challenge themselves to accept and work with change.”
Attendees raised $40,257, donated to Wesley Kids for a children’s therapy and outdoor sensory area and to provide therapy sessions and groups for vulnerable children and families that cannot afford the treatment they need.
