CGU names Benchmark winners
More than 100 brokers and clients attended the 21st Benchmark Awards hosted by CGU in Sydney last Thursday.
The awards, previously held under the Lumley Insurance banner, recognise customers and their brokers that have achieved outstanding risk management solutions.
The City of Sydney received the motor fleet award for its focus on driver safety and reducing pollution. Its initiatives include a system for fleet driving that promotes a zero-crash culture and features a dedicated driver development officer who oversees driver training.
Cleanway Waste Management took the property benchmark award for its fixed protection and suppression systems across six sites that hold significant quantities of flammable and combustible liquids, plus its standardised, stringent controls and procedures.
Winemaker Brown Brothers received the individual site award for its culture of embracing risk management and property protection.
PACE Aged Care won the risk, resilience and recovery category for creating a risk management framework for all new members.
Brokers recognised at the awards were Brett MacKay from Aon (motor fleet award), Robert Lamont from Aon (property award), Neil Buttery from Aon (individual site award) and Tony Martin from Warren Saunders Insurance Brokers (risk, resilience and recovery award).
