ARPC opens terror risk seminar registrations
The Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) has opened registrations for its Terrorism Risk Insurance Seminar on October 5 at Parliament House in Sydney.
Trends in terrorism insurance and reinsurance are among the topics at the second annual seminar, which focuses on current and emerging threats, and their implications for policymakers and the industry.
ARPC Chief Underwriting Officer Michael Pennell, who is among the speakers, will provide an update on the pool’s Cyber Terrorism White Paper.
Institute for Economics and Peace Lead Researcher Murray Ackman will discuss what insurers and reinsurers can learn from thwarted terror attacks.
Other topics include the future of jihadist terrorism, national security and disaster resilience, from the Australian Government to local councils.
