The Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has revealed the lineup of panellists for this year's Diversity and Inclusion hybrid seminar, to be held June 29 at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park. 

The panel of experts will explore the progress of diversity and inclusion in insurance and share their experiences and insights on the theme of this year, “building a home for inclusion, overcoming unconscious bias”.  

The panellists are SLE Holdings CEO Raj Nanra, CHU Underwriting Agencies Manager Claire Burke, Insightus Chief Client Officer Linh Nguyen, Allianz Senior Manager Diversity and Inclusion Edyta Torpy, and Accenture Director Simon Corcoran. 

“It's a business imperative to ensure diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of everything we do in the insurance industry," Ms Burke said. "Our workplaces and customer bases are a diverse group of people."  

ANZIIF says 71% of organisations struggle to advance underrepresented groups into more senior positions, which means boards don’t represent society.
