Marine insurance specialist Matthew Williams has been appointed to the role of Claims and Operations Executive at AlphaXO Risk Partners.

Mr Williams has 24 years of experience in the marine insurance industry, most as recently GM at Proteus Marine insurance and formerly as Operations Manager at QBE Speciality Risks.

“He is a truly talented marine insurance professional,” AlphaXO Director Robert Hammersley said. “We are well placed to achieve our goal of being the maritime and cargo industries’ ‘go-to’ insurance broker in our region.”

Mr Williams says one of his first tasks will be supporting some technology initiatives AlphaXO has under way.

Established in Australia in 2007, AlphaXO is part of the Howden Insurance Group and offers insurance solutions and advice on maritime risks ranging from Hull and Machinery and Protection and Indemnity, to cargo, marine liabilities, shipbuilding and repairing as well as associated risks, including cyber, war and kidnap & ransom.
