Allianz announces internal changes to broking support team
Allianz has announced a series of role changes to accompany a revised broking service that aims to make “fundamental” improvements to the insurer’s interactions with intermediaries.
Ammon Mackie has been named Head of Broker Partners and Enablement, reporting to Broker Distribution GM Jason Hawksworth.
The shuffle will also see NSW Key Account Manager Brandt Connor and SA Key Account Manager Steven Thomas take National Relationship Manager positions, while Intermediary Segmentation Specialist Shane Walker has been appointed as Distribution Enablement Manager. All three will report to Mr Mackie.
Allianz says the revised strategy will offer increased access to its resources and simplified communication lines, including the introduction of a single-entry point for brokers via phone (covering underwriting services and claims) and a simplified set of contact email addresses.
Mr Hawksworth says the changes will allow the firm to be more responsive to the different needs across its significant group of broking partners and members, as he emphasises that there can’t be a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
“Our revised service model will enable Allianz to be true partners with our brokers, delivering a dynamic approach to managing broker relationships that is focused on what we know about their needs and behaviours,” Mr Hawksworth said.
“We’re delighted to be introducing these changes during an exciting time of growth and innovation in the industry.”
