AIG New Zealand has appointed Simon Foley as Head of Client & Broker Engagement, based in Auckland.

Mr Foley has worked in New Zealand’s insurance industry for 25 years, including the past eight with Zurich, where he was a distribution manager and, before that, commercial underwriting manager for the South Island.

He will be responsible for growth strategies in AIG’s consumer and commercial product lines, plus broker and major account relationship management.

Mr Foley, who will report to New Zealand CEO Mike Raines, replaces Julian Travaglia, who is leaving the industry.
