The six finalists in the inaugural Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Female Excellence in Advice award have been announced.

They are Dianne Chalk and Therese Stanton from NSW; Michelle Tate-Lovery and Susan Jackson from Victoria; Michelle Veitch from SA; and Olivia Maragna from Queensland.

AFA CEO Richard Klipin says the award, sponsored by TAL and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, is promoting gender equity and contributing to broad community debate on the issue.

“The award seeks to actively encourage more women into the industry so they are better represented within the ranks of financial advisers and better able to help other women secure their financial future,” he said. 

The winner will be announced during the AFA conference on the Gold Coast next week.
