The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has appointed former Colonial First State Head of Compliance Phil Anderson as its first COO.

Mr Anderson, who has already started in his new role, has had a 16-year career in the financial services sector, having worked for a number of companies including MLC and AMP.

AFA CEO Richard Klipin says Mr Anderson has the same “energy and commitment to the industry as our members”.
