‘Multiple’ shots fired at CBN rep’s office

Gunshots were fired early today at the Sydney office of a Community Broker Network authorised representative, the Steadfast-owned broking group says.

“We understand that shots were fired into the office of the insurance broker at approximately 1.10am on Monday,” the group said in a statement.

“We are relieved to understand that no injuries have been reported.

“As the incident is under police investigation, we are not able to provide any further comment on the matter until the investigation is complete.”

Police have established a crime scene at the office on Haig Avenue in Georges Hall.

NSW Police Force says officers responded to reports of gunfire and “found multiple shots had been fired into a business”.

A short time later, they were called to a car fire in Kawana Street, Bass Hill – about eight minutes’ drive away.

“Police established a second crime scene at that location. The vehicle will be forensically examined by specialist police,” the force said.
