NIBA conference to host AI pitch battle

Insurtech Australia CEO Simone Dossetor will moderate a “thrilling Shark Tank-style session” at the National Insurance Brokers Association Convention next month.

Leading insurtechs will pitch AI-powered tools and demonstrate how they can transform the way brokers operate.

“From automating tedious data entry to elevating the customer experience, these solutions are designed to make your workday more efficient and effective,” NIBA says. “Whether you’re aiming to streamline manual processes, boost operational efficiency, or simply stay ahead of the competition, this session offers a unique opportunity to discover the tools that can take your brokerage to the next level.”

The convention in Adelaide promises 51 speakers, 21 sessions and 800 delegates. The theme is Beyond the Status Quo, which NIBA says is a “call to action for our broking community to embrace innovation, be adaptable and stay ahead of the curve”.

Speakers include Austbrokers ABS MD Rebecca Wilson, Sedgwick client director Colin McEnery, Steadfast EGM of Australasian networks, broker and insurer services Nick Cook, and Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance CEO Katrina Shanks.

Seven News finance editor Gemma Acton will be master of ceremonies.

The association will share its strategic direction, and a closing address from convention chair Dianne Phelan will be followed by a dinner at which the broker and young broker of the year will be crowned.
