Lloyd’s names insurtechs to pitch for lab cohort spot
Twenty-one insurance startups have been selected to pitch to be part of the 14th Lloyd’s Lab cohort.
The program, which runs twice a year, offers access to mentors, and potential partners and investors. Concepts can be tested with the support of experts from the London market.
The lab will this time focus on new products, data, models and processes, and shaping the future of reinsurance in Bermuda.
Those selected will pitch their ideas on March 25 and the 10-week program starts on April 28. Successful teams will showcase their progress at Demo Day on July 9.
Of the 21 selected, 16 are headquartered in London: Allocation.Space, Athena Intelligence, Calvin Risk, Circuit Security, Faura, GWT Insight, ISARR, MetSwift, NatureX RMS, Novella, Ocean Leger, QualRisk, Satva Trust, Supercede Technology, Testudo, and Unwind Finance.
Four are based in the US: IDecisionSciences, Feathery; Federato Technologies; and DeNexus/American Frozen Food Institute.
Also selected is Norway’s 7Analytics, which is one of 25 firms collaborating with IAG’s venture capital arm Firemark Ventures. It offers predictive models for floods and landslides, helping insurers pinpoint risk at the individual asset level.
