Axa XL partners with ‘offensive cybercrime prevention’ group
New York-based Darkweb IQ will offer preferential pricing on cybersecurity services to Axa XL under a new deal.
The services are available to Axa XL’s Australian clients, with a complimentary one-year subscription to Code Red Alerts.
Darkweb IQ was founded by Kevin Sherry, a former Zurich senior underwriter who spent more than five years at Everest Insurance.
It is an “offensive cybercrime prevention” company that works with the insurance industry and law enforcement to infiltrate cybercriminal supply chains and intercept imminent ransomware attacks.
“Utilising their expertise is essential in fortifying our defences and mitigating the risks posed by cyber threats,” Axa XL global head of cyber risk strategies and partnership programs Tim Smit said. “Their Ransomware Detection & Response solution can be instrumental in intercepting attacks before data theft or encryption occur.”
Darkweb IQ also offers the Supply Chain Security+ tool, which protects against disruption and data theft resulting from attacks on third-party vendors and suppliers.
Axa XL’s cyber offer includes coverage for investigating and managing cyber incidents, financial protection against liabilities, and risk management services.
