Steadfast says its new CTO will “spearhead a visionary technology strategy” and drive the company’s digital transformation.

Allianz CIO David Gillespie, who will take the role from May, will also advance “market-leading insurtech products” the Steadfast Client Trading Platform and Insight system, the broking group says.

Group MD and CEO Robert Kelly says Mr Gillespie’s “vast international expertise” will be crucial “as we continue to develop our world-class insurance technology to benefit our broker network and their clients”.

Mr Gillespie says he looks forward to “using my skills to streamline, scale and transform the group, offering our network and subsidiaries a competitive edge in this ever-changing industry landscape”.

Before his three-year stint at Allianz, Mr Gillespie held senior roles at TAL and Fidelity Worldwide Investment, and he has more than 20 years’ leadership experience in digital, technology and transformation for financial services organisations.
