Insurtech Australia (IA) has selected a delegation of eight to attend Insurtech Connect (ITC) in Las Vegas later this month. 

The delegation will comprise senior members of Codafication, Covertech Australia, daisee, handdii, Kanopi Cover, Reask, Red Planet Software and Simfuni. QBE Ventures is the lead sponsor. 

Codafication has made the finals of the Guidewire Software Insurtech Vanguards Pitch Day, which will be held in Las Vegas on November 1. 

Daisee scores phone calls to insurers on compliance and conduct using machine learning, Handdii connects a network of contractors for property claims, and Sydney-based Reask models natural catastrophes using artificial intelligence. 

Brisbane-based Covertech says it offers insurance brokers advanced technology, new insurer distribution models, and online systems. It has appointed Ausure Head of Communications & Digital GM Steve Sloan as MD, effective December, while Steadfast EGM Technology Chris Rouse and Ausure MD Troy Brown are on the board.    

Red Planet Software provides complete payment solutions specialising in Insurance premium finance software and professional fee finance solutions. 

Simfuni orchestrates insurance invoicing, billing, premium funding and payments into one simple digital payment platform. 

"Our US delegation to attend ITC Vegas is the chance to connect on a global level with the international insurtech community,” IA says in a statement. “It is an exciting opportunity for our Australian businesses to demonstrate their place, meet new people and learn more about the exciting possibilities of insurtech from other thought-leaders and entrepreneurs in the field.”
