The board of Insurtech Australia (IA) has elected three new members. 

Suncorp EGM Strategy & Innovation Sid Baidwan, Red Planet Software Founder & CEO Peter Williams, and ZapCentral Director Lisa Woodley were elected last week. 

They join IA Chair and QBE Ventures CEO James Orchard and Curium Co-Founder & CEO Tetiana George, who were both re-elected. 

“With the combination of knowledge, experience and motivation possessed by our new board members, we are in good hands,” IA said, while QBE Ventures Global Head of Emerging Technology Alex Taylor praised the new team as “an impressively credentialed board to deliver the future of the insurance industry”. 

Departing the board are Evari Founder and CEO Daniel Fogarty, Hollard Chief Transformation Officer Jamie Smith, and Upcover CEO & Co-Founder Skye Theodorou. 

“Their hard work during their time on the board is greatly appreciated,” IA said. Mr Fogarty will continue to act in an advisory capacity, and Swiss Re Senior Underwriter Consultant Vanessa Dobson remains Company Secretary.
