Changing risk, climate challenges on agenda at InsurtechLIVE
The challenges of insuring a changing risk environment and the ways technology could be a “game-changer” for insurers facing climate threats are among the issues to feature at this year’s InsurtechLIVE in Sydney tomorrow.
Insurtech Australia will host the event at Doltone House in Pyrmont.
In a keynote presentation sponsored by the British Government and QBE Ventures, Insurtech UK CEO Melissa Collett will examine the insurance market and compare global players, sharing insights from Britain and opportunities for growth.
Five companies have been selected for a pitch competition: Amelio Health, Climatics, Haast, HumanableCX and Peachii Insurance.
An insurability challenges session will discuss how insurtech can address the changing risk environment, and another will explore its role addressing climate issues.
InsurtechLIVE speakers will include Cover Genius CEO Angus McDonald, Microsoft Azure Specialist Shane Baldacchino, Kanopi CEO Nigel Fellowes-Freeman, BCyber CEO Karen Stephens, Descartes Underwriting Head of Australia Ben Qin, Tenity Venture Lead Jun Ho Bae, Austbrokers Life MD Ben Donald, Zemble CEO Aurora Voss, Leap Forward CEO Libby Roberts, ClearView CTO Hicham Mourad, Fair Supply CEO Kimberly Randle, and Risk Hub Founder Marc Fabris.
