Hannover Re has named Blake Dimitrijevic as its Australian branch MD following the appointment of predecessor Michael Eberhardt to the reinsurer’s Bermuda office.

“With years of experience in leadership, Blake brings a wealth of expertise across group, regional and business unit levels, excelling in both client-facing and enabling functions,” the company says in a LinkedIn post. “Throughout his career, Blake has consistently shown the ability to connect strategic vision with practical execution, emphasising collaboration and continuous improvement.”

Mr Dimitrijevic most recently worked for reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter and previously spent 17 years at Swiss Re, where he held senior roles including head of property and casualty business management for Asia.

Mr Eberhardt, who was based in Australia for more than a decade, is now Hannover Re MD and chief underwriting officer in Bermuda.
