Institute opens award submissions

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance has opened submissions for its annual industry awards.

The 21st Australian Insurance Industry Awards program features 15 categories covering general and life insurance, broking, underwriting, claims, insurtechs and authorised representative networks.

Last year, Allianz, Aon, AIA and NTI took key prizes, while the founder of Hollard's Australian operations, Richard Enthoven, was recognised with a lifetime achievement award.

Trade Risk, Insurance Advisernet, Adica Insurance,  Simfuni, Finity, Gallagher Basset and CHU Underwriting were also honoured.

“The history of the award recipients has been rich and varied ... The awards encourage us to continue pursuing excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction,” institute CEO Katrina Shanks said.

Submissions will be assessed in two rounds of judging. Nominations close on May 4 and awards will be presented at The Star, Sydney, on August 21.
