Gallagher has contracted UK claims specialist 360Globalnet to develop a real-time system for personal and commercial lines customers in Australia.

The platform uses 360Globalnet proprietary technology already used by insurers in the US and UK to reduce backlogs and speed processing.

“This system is essentially a digital enabler that allows an insurer or broker to communicate with their customers via their smartphones or emails,” 360Globalnet Director of Business Development Asia-Pacific Daniel Lukic told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The Gallagher contract is a major breakthrough for 360Globalnet as it aims to expand in the region. It opened an office in Melbourne in February last year – its first in Australia – as a base for the regional business.
