Suncorp’s commercial claims platform goes live nationally
The $20 million upgrade of Suncorp Commercial Insurance Statutory division’s claims management platform reached a milestone last week when all sites went live nationally.
It has taken three years to roll out the new Guidewire ClaimCenter platform to all claims managers across workers’ compensation and compulsory third party insurance.
Suncorp Commercial EGM Statutory Claims Paul Smeaton says staff had been working with multiple systems and bringing everyone onto one platform will improve productivity and service to customers and brokers.
“Having a single system means we can deliver consistent claims management and reporting to our customers and brokers across the country,” he said.
“ClaimCenter puts it all together and delivers efficiencies such as instant access to documents and reports, automated pre-population of letters, activity prompts and tracking the progress of each claim.”
The long-tail nature of the business meant that over 100 million records across six schemes had to be migrated including accidents, claims, documents and comments going back several decades.
